Growing up, there was never a more pleasant memory than when Mom was baking bread. The aroma filled the house and we all waited in anticipation for a fresh slice of warm bread, oozing with butter and honey. It's inconceivable to imagine that I'd refuse Mom's fresh baked bread, or worse yet, grab a substitute of tasteless empty calories off the shelf instead. But isn't that what we do when it comes to Spiritual provision? We reach for substitutes and quick fixes rather than receive from the Bread of Life Himself.

Fresh Bread

“Give us this day our daily bread.” Luke 11:3 

 'Every Word that comes from the mouth of God is the

                                                food that will satisfy and sustain you.

                                                 Does your body not require daily nourishment?

                                             Why then do you think your Spirit requires any less?

                                                    You are content with “left-overs” and “weekly meals”

                                             when you have a table of fresh spiritual delights ever before you.

                                               Take and eat! Take and eat!

                                                  I give you fresh bread from Heaven;

                                                a Word that rightly divides and speaks life to your Spirit

                                               in the exact moment you need it.

                                                    Come hungry! Take and eat! I’ll complete the work for which I came.'
