He knew long before I did...

I make jewelry too. A few years ago I was calling on a wholesale customer who owns a Christian gift store/coffee bean shop. I had become close with the owners and always enjoyed their company when I went to do business. I was also a customer, making several purchases there for myself, family and friends. One day they gave me the book The Sky is Always Blue. I set the book on my nightstand, not feeling like I could relate at all and thinking there are a million other books on my "to read" pile. There it sat collecting dust.
Skip ahead 2 years- I spent 2 to 3 months having crazy feelings, excruciating pain and wild scary thoughts and then 5 days in a hospital thinking that I was having a heart attack where I was told nothing was wrong with me except anxiety. That is when one day in the midst of my own personal mental meltdown that I call my "ride on the crazy train" I remembered it- the book on my nightstand. Wow- it was the first time I read anything that remotely sounded like I felt. I will say, that I just boarded my crazy train and so after being diagnosed with anxiety I did go to my doctor and began medication. I spent 3 weeks in hell with that one and then tried another- it worked wonders for 3 weeks and then the bottom fell out. Then I found the book and reread the I Surrender about a million times and prayed!! Now I see that this is not something that I can control or fix. If I do not surrender it to HIM I will live in this hell forever. I have 5 kids at home too (2 of my own, 2 step sons and one that we took in last year due to a bad situation for him (very Blind Side) so I am usually the one that is in control and tries very hard to be SuperMom.
